A very warm welcome to Bucklebury Church of England Primary School.
I am absolutely delighted to be the Headteacher at Bucklebury C of E Primary School and feel incredibly proud to lead such a special school community.
From the moment you arrive at Bucklebury, you will experience the warmth of the school, the strong sense of belonging and, most importantly, the care shown towards every child. There is something very special about a school where children are truly known and valued as individuals. Our vision that “love is tangible every day” is something you can see and feel throughout the school, and it is a privilege to lead a community where children are encouraged to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
My experiences in education have strengthened my belief that children thrive when they feel happy, safe, understood and believed in.
Primary school should be about so much more than academic achievement alone. Childhood is precious, and I want our children’s years at Bucklebury to be filled with curiosity, friendship, laughter and memorable experiences. I want them to discover what they are good at, have the confidence to try things they find difficult, learn from their mistakes and know that there will always be someone alongside them, encouraging them to keep going.
Being a small school gives us the wonderful opportunity to know our children and families exceptionally well. I am a visible part of the everyday life of the school, whether I am welcoming children at the start of the day, celebrating their achievements, joining them in their learning or simply stopping for a conversation.
Bucklebury has so much to be proud of: our wonderful children, nurturing Christian ethos, dedicated staff team, supportive families and strong relationships with our governors, church and wider community. Together, we continue to build upon these strengths to ensure that every child at Bucklebury receives an exceptional education within a caring, inclusive and ambitious environment.
If you are already part of our Bucklebury family, thank you for the important part you play in making our school the special place it is. If you are considering Bucklebury for your child, I warmly invite you to come and visit us. A website can give you a flavour of our school, but the best way to understand what makes Bucklebury so special is to step through our doors, meet our children and staff and experience it for yourself.
The “Bucklebury Way” is a community where love is tangible every day, where every child is known and valued, and where every child is given the opportunity to thrive.
I look forward to welcoming you to Bucklebury.
